About UsWhy we created Kore Computers We realised that there was a need to have a local IT presence, provided by people the local community knew and trusted. When you need to buy a laptop or hard drive or graphics card or some memory for your computer why travel to another city if you live out of town, or visit some other website whose credentials you cannot verify? The shop front we do not hide behind Our aim was to use a website as a shop front - not to disappear behind it. If you look at many websites out there, you have no idea who is running them or how to contact the people behind them. It is true, you could find better deals elsewhere but what happens if something goes wrong? Whom do you contact? All you are left is an email address, if that. With us, you pick up the phone and talk to us. What makes us genuinely different Many other online shops talk of having the lowest prices, open 24 hours a day, value for money etc. This is standard talk on many websites. Yes, we can do all of that. However, we believe that people are getting tired of the faceless web company. People want to hear real voices and see real people. We are not afraid to show ourselves because we have nothing to hide. We are not afraid of being accountable for our business. We take our responsibilities very seriously. The business model we use By not holding any stock, we do not have the costs associated with having a traditional shop in the high street. This way we can reduce our operating costs and pass on the savings to you. When you place an order with us, we contact one of our distributors and have the items you ordered shipped straight to you. We ship all items to you via courier, usually next day, for maximum security and convenience. A local company with global customers With all the products we sell, there is at least a 12 months manufacturer’s warranty, in many cases it is longer than this. We do not provide any warranties. If you need any help in talking to the manufacturer about a warranty claim, call us and we will help you as much as we can. Unlike other web-based businesses, we do not turn you away once you have bought from us. You are still our customer. Unfortunately, Identity Theft is a growing problem but with some sensible, basic checks, we can stop these people. Please pay attention to the following: 1. We do not use mobile phones. If you're given a mobile phone number as a contact number then please know something is wrong. We only use a landline. If you have any doubts, then please call us. If you are not given our main number, +44 (0) 1353 780 103 (DreamValley Productions Ltd) or +44 (0) 1353 780 014 (Kore Computers), then it is not us. 2. We own the domain names, dreamvalley.co.uk, dreamvalley.net, dreamvalley.mobi, korecomputers.co.uk, korecomputes.com, korecomputers.net and korecomputers.mobi. Check the domain name with the email address that you've been given. Only dreamvalley.net and korecomputers.com receive emails. Even if they use our email address in their correspondence, they can never use it as all emails will come to us. 3. We do not have any other offices. Please do not send goods or anything else for that matter to any other address than the one registered. If you have any doubts, then please call us. 4. No matter how insistent the callers are, not matter what kind of 'evidence' they supply, please don't part with the goods until you receive payment. Documents can easily be forged and made to look authentic. If you are enticed with a letter of credit from a bank, please go that bank's website (don't click on any links they send you or phone numbers they give you) and ask the bank if they've issued such a thing. If you tell them that you suspect fraud or carrying out basic checks to avoid any fraud, then they'll be more than happy to help. 5.
